Governor Ducey signed into law the vast Arizona gaming expansion last April 15. Also, the state government amended the Tribal-State Gaming Compacts. As a result, sports betting, daily fantasy contests, and keno games became available on and off the tribal ground in the state.
The gambling expansion also made mobile lottery draw games legal in Arizona. According to sportsbook pay per head reports, the gambling expansion bill will take effect after the US Secretary of the Interior approves the Compact amendments and its publication in the Federal Register.
Senate Bill 1797 and House Bill 2772 allow sports wagering on Tribal grounds at tribal casinos. According to bookie resources, the bills allow bookies to accept wagers outside of Tribal lands. However, operators need to apply for sports betting licenses.
