As we continue to look at each division heading into the 2020 season, next up is the AL West. Like several others, this division on the surface seems to have at least four teams who will all legitimately compete for a spot in the postseason. We’ll look at all five clubs, the notable players for each, and where they’ll land according to their over/under win totals.
Houston Astros - O/U: 35 wins
Much of the talk around the Astros this offseason has been less about winning 107 games and coming one win short of a World Series title, but rather the sign-stealing scandal that rocked the baseball world. But Houston still has tons of talent to make them a championship-caliber team.
The lineup core of 3B Alex Bregman, 2B Jose Altuve, CF George Springer, and SS Carlos Correa is still in place, along with All-Star-caliber bats like Rookie of the Year Yordan Alvarez, 1B Yuli Gurriel, and LF Michael Brantley. Former Cy Young winners Justin Verlander and Zack Greinke anchor the pitching rotation as well.

The restarting of all of the sports leagues across the world include 1 rule: there will be no fans watching games live. Everyone who wants to watch games will have to settle for watching it on tv, or streaming the games online. For owners, this means a huge loss of income, as they now have 0 ticket sales for the season.
As for players, we know how players use fans as a way to boost their morale. It is, after all, one of the tenets of a home field advantage. And bettors and pay per head solutions providers alike know that it is unlikely to see fans in the bleachers again soon. But one can hope.

ESPN’s ‘The Last Dance,’ a 10-part documentary series about Michael Jordan and the 1998 Chicago Bulls provided an intimate look at the epic team. Many think that ‘The Last Dance’ was the best sports documentary ever made. Some of Michael Jordan’s former teammates and rivals shared their impressions.
BetOnline recently released a roundtable session with Horace Grant, Ron Harper, Bill Cartwright and Craig Hodges reacting to ‘The Last Dance.’ Called ‘The Final Dance’ and hosted by David Kaplan from SportsTalk Live and ESPN Chicago, it counters some of Jordan’s claims.
Five-time NBA champion Ron Harper shared that ‘The Last Dance’ was good, even though he wanted it to be more about what the Bulls did as a team. Harper also said: “I understand they gave the copyrights to MJ, so it was more like come fly with me...”

Three years in a row the New Orleans Saints have entered the off-season with a sense of frustration and a question of What-If? First it was the Minneapolis Miracle that ended their season, then it was the uncalled DPI that saw a rule change, and finally this past January an overtime touchdown from Kirk Cousins to Kyle Rudolph with the home team never touching the ball in the extra period.
The good news is that the offensive firepower is still intact so the window, while closing, remains open for this Super Bowl contender. Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara when healthy form quite the three-headed monster for head coach Sean Payton. Last year the offense finished ninth in total yards, seventh in passing yards and had the least amount of turnovers (8) in the NFL.

As we continue our look at every NFL team’s over/under win total, the Los Angeles Chargers are the next team up. L.A. struggled to a 5-11 record last season, finishing last in the AFC West. However, this season is the first since 2003 in which quarterback Philip Rivers isn’t on the roster, signaling a fresh start for the franchise.
According to odds-makers, the Chargers’ over-under for wins is set at 7.5. We’ll take a look at how this offseason has gone for L.A., as well as what’s ahead on their schedule, in order to see what the best bet will be.

DC sports betting app GambetDC ran into several technical issues during its first weekend of operations. Some players reported that the geolocation service of the app couldn’t pinpoint their locations within the District.
GeoComply, the geolocation provider for GambetDC, stated that their services were working as intended. However, they did concede that people next to areas where sports betting was prohibited might not be able to wager on sports.
Areas, where sports wagering are banned, include places around stadiums and federal properties. Players who are less than half a mile from the DC border might be blocked from using the app. They need to move away from the border and retry placing a bet.

Nicole Jordan, DC Lottery director of marketing and communications, told a sportsbook watchdog that the geolocating technology is working as designed. She added that the technology was made to be strict during launch.

The Bundesliga suspended the season in mid-March because of coronavirus concerns but they already have plans in place to return.
The German Football League (DFL) made plans for the Bundesliga to resume this month. The games would have to take place behind closed doors and there would be regular testing of players and strict hygiene measures.
Can anyone challenge Bayern Munich? I like Borussia Dortmund's chances. This team won back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012 but since then, they have finished second four times, all behind seven-straight champions Bayern Munich.
